A nice show of bipartisanship resulted in the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act yesterday, which assists victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. The measure is of particular importance in New Mexico, given the increased capability for Native women to seek justice in tribal courts against non-native assailants.
