As the world, and our communities here in New Mexico, struggle with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, NewMexicoWomen.Org (NMW.O) is creating a Gender Equity Emergency Fund in response to the immediate local needs of our communities and in line with our values of social and gender justice. The Gender Equity Emergency Response Fund is specifically oriented towards organizations and programs serving self-identifying women and girls, and particularly the needs of women and girls of color, women and girls in low income and rural communities, the LGBTQI community, and the immigrant community, in response to the emergency needs caused by COVID-19.
