Bueno Para Todos (BPT) is a matriarchal Indigenous-led farming project of El Valle Women’s Collaborative, a non-profit located in the rural community of Villanueva, NM, and a grantee and community partner of NewMexicoWomen.Org. El Valle’s BPT project has taken an ancestral approach in responding to COVID-19 and the economic crisis. They describe how, “Our elders said there would come a time of great change and we would need to grow food for the people. Bueno Para Todos is drawing upon precolonial methods of farming to increase food production, conserve water, and inspire other farmers to do the same.” NMW.O was honored to support BPT recently with a grant that was used to purchase additional trees and plants for medicinal use, gifts that will continue giving for years to come. Recently, Beuno Para Todos was featured on Movement Strategy Center’s Vision Through COVID: Portals to the Future in an episode called Our Ancestors’ Roadmap.
