Dear Friends,

The change of seasons is in the air, and with that, we are thrilled to share our big news. After five years as a program of New Mexico Community Foundation (NMCF), NewMexicoWomen.Org (NMW.O) has now become an independent organization!

NMW.O is the only statewide women’s fund dedicated to gender justice and equity. As attacks on women’s rights increase, contributing to the health and well-being of women and girls is more critical than ever. NMW.O remains committed to supporting organizations working on gender justice and equity for women and girls of color, and those in rural and low-income communities across the state of New Mexico.

We’d like to thank NMCF for their partnership, which enabled us to grow and expand our impact throughout the state. We are also grateful to all of our volunteers, including the founding Visionaries, the Professional Action Team, the Statewide Advisory Board and the transition Steering Committee, for supporting us through this powerful time.

And, of course, to each of YOU for your investment in our work, and for joining the movement for gender equity in New Mexico.

  • You can continue to support NMW.O and our new independence by giving a gift here.
  • If you haven’t seen it yet, check out our new website here.
  • And, if you haven’t read our report, The Heart of Gender Justice in New Mexico: Intersectionality, Economic Security, and Health Equity, you can download it here.

Stay tuned for more information about our 5th Year Anniversary celebration with Maria Hinojosa, Anchor and Executive Producer of Latino USA on March 6th, 2018.

With gratitude,

The NewMexicoWomen.Org Team
