As part of our gender justice strategy to educate peer funders, Renee Villarreal, NMW.O’s Program Co-Director, moderated a panel for the Intermountain West Funders Network (IMWFN) Annual Convening that took place in Santa Fe on May 2 – 4. The panel discussion focused on “Advancing Equity and Inclusion in Our Communities and Organizations” and had a mix of perspectives, including our own local community partners, Jessi Espinoza-Jensen with the New Mexico Health Equity Partnership and Tomás Rivera from Chainbreaker Collective. Also on the panel was CJ Hager with the Vitalyst Health Foundation out of Phoenix and Clark Anderson with Community Builders out of Taos.
IMWFN’s mission is to inspire, strengthen and expand funding and philanthropic leadership in the Intermountain West region that engages people in decisions that result in more environmentally sustainable, socially equitable, and economically prosperous regions and communities.
