This Saturday, May 14th, New Mexicans will be gathering at Bans Off Our Bodies abortion access rallies statewide to express our outrage at the provisional Supreme Court ruling to overturn Roe v Wade. This ruling would enable states to criminalize and ban abortion under all circumstances! NewMexicoWomen.Org is proud to be a co-sponsor of the rally in Albuquerque, and will be speaking at the rally in Santa Fe. Join us at a rally near you!

We know that this ruling will most acutely impact low-income, immigrant, and rural communities, and people of color. NM has no trigger laws and abortion will remain legal in our state for the immediate future. However, we also do not have explicit legal protections in place and expect attacks at the legislative level in the coming year. We must double down on support for abortion providers, advocates, and organizers working to defeat anti-abortion politicians and policies.
