NewMexicoWomen.Org recently had the honor of presenting at the 2021 Santa Fe Virtual Women’s March, organized by the League of Women Voters of Santa Fe County and Katie Christianson. NMW.O Program Manager, Carli Romero, offered a poem about the collective grief New Mexico communities continue to hold and process, while working toward a future that empowers all of our residents to thrive. Other guest speakers included: NM Women’s March Organizer, Samia Assed; recording artist and Changing Woman Initiative Office Manager, Kansas Begaye; Nichole Rogers, Founder of Welstand Foundation; Congresswoman Deb Haaland; Congresswoman Teresa Leger Fernandez; Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham and State Representative Linda Serrato.
