Update about the Sista Circle program from our partners at EarthSeed Black Arts Alliance:
Sista Circle is a summer program for Black teenage girls in Santa Fe to explore our shared lived experiences here in Santa Fe through poetry, art, self-care, cooking, and community in a safe and healing space. In a climate where racial justice and inequity are hot topics, Sista Circle seeks to move from conversation to action by providing a program created by Black women for Black girls to gather, communicate, share lived experiences, heal, and organize. This program was filled up within six days of launching the application, which demonstrates the need in our community. We will provide 16 girls with meaningful arts and social justice education. Given the great interest in this program, EarthSeed Black Arts Alliance is continuing to fundraise in order to accommodate more participants. Please support us with a gift here!
