This Women’s History Month, as we mark a year after the start of the pandemic, and bear witness to another rash of violent shootings,

May we remember the ways in which the dual viruses of COVID-19 and structural racism have disproportionately impacted self-identifying women and women and girls of color and their communities.

May we honor the collective grief for lives lost and turned upside down.

May we uplift those who work daily to address racism and sexism and to dismantle these harmful structures.

May we find ways to heal at the individual and community levels, as we work toward collective liberation.
